Project overview
I worked before for the association, so they approached me again to design a colorful content portal, to engage young people, or anyone interested in water sports.
This was one of those strange but awesome experiences, when they pushed me go as wild as possible, but in the meanwhile it was going to be built on the top of WordPress, and it had serve as a content portal as well, so I was trying to carefully balance between colorfulness and usability.
Make it pop!
The most challenging thing about this project was the various types of content, sections, almost like designing three or four different websites. Regardless, I hope I solved the task, I can tell my client was really happy at the end.
Homepage, News and Article pages
Many different sections on the homepage: Highlighted and general news, Opinions and Interviews, History and Videos, Events and Social media blocks. I was trying to give a unique look for all of them, and keep it minimal at the same time.

UI Components and Design System
Of course they got a design guide and a simple Design System as well, for a website with so many different content types and pages it's mandatory.
